Game-based learning sparks competitive spirit and forges strong connections in China

An event to share knowledge, cultivate connections and enhance skills around SkyTeam’s China Corporate Agreement has been hailed as one of the best SkyTeam training events in China to date.
Date 21 August 2018

SkyTeam China Corporate Connections (SCCC) was launched in 2016 to provide tailor-made, cost-effective travel solutions for China-based organizations.

Designed to meet the growing demand for business travel in the region, companies signing up to the scheme enjoy benefits including access to SkyTeam’s unrivalled network, a single point of contact for all their travel needs and SkyTeam priority services.

More than 50 people from 12 different airlines attended the three-day training event in Xiamen.

They enjoyed a combination of classroom learning and outdoor team-building activities, which saw teams competing for the title of ‘Gamifi-edu-cation’ champions, with posts about the event clocking up 12,000 interactions on WeChat as participants uploaded pictures and comments to share news about what they’d been up to.

Xu Chen, B2B Program Manager at SkyTeam, said:

“Airline colleagues concluded it was one of the best SkyTeam training experiences in China. Results were very good with 100% overall satisfaction, and most importantly, people started to build connections and understandings across the airlines.”

Topics covered in the sessions included managing the modern business traveler, competition law, and essentials of marketing, sales and management.

Participants also received copies of the new SkyTeam sales kit, and an SCCC graduation certificate to highlight their achievements. Great work, team!

The attendees have now returned to their airlines where they will pass on their learnings to their colleagues.
