CEO recognizes SkyTeam’s 20th anniversary
SkyTeam CEO Kristin Colvile has offered a message of hope to all SkyTeam customers, members and colleagues as we continue to respond and adapt to the Coronavirus pandemic. Read her full letter below:On the occasion of the alliance’s 20th Anniversary, I wanted to reach out to our customers, our members, and colleagues both near and far.
This has been an unusual and difficult time for many of us, both professionally and personally. I’ll be the first to admit this is not how we envisaged celebrating two decades since SkyTeam was founded.
Our industry is no stranger to challenges, we’ve experienced hard times before and have come through them changed but stronger.
At SkyTeam, we’ve used the last few months to listen and rethink some of our assumptions, to navigate a path to the new normal. You remain at the heart of our alliance and our goal remains unchanged, we strive to make your journey better.
How do we plan to do that going forward?
Our first initiative, announced today, is SkyCare&Protect, our 19 members have worked hard over the last few months to bring together a set of measures to care for your health and wellbeing when traveling on or between SkyTeam member airlines.
In addition to traveling safely, we are also exploring how we can leverage our technology to give you more choice and control over your journey. Creating a more personal and smoother experience when you are back in the air.
We want everyone to experience the magic of travel again and the joy that it brings. Soon we will be back to doing what we do best, connecting friends, families, and colleagues across our global network.
I want to thank you, and everyone who has flown with our member airlines, or worked with SkyTeam, past, and present. We will continue to grow and evolve as we build the alliance of the future, together.
We sincerely hope to see you very soon.
Best,
Kristin Colvile
