Future female leaders set to RISE to the top thanks to SkyTeam’s new development program

SkyTeam’s RISE program supports high potential female leaders

A leadership development program that will support future female leaders across our alliance to reach their potential is ready for launch.

The year-long RISE program has been created by SkyTeam and our members to provide mentoring, training and support that will enable high potential female leaders to flourish.

With core modules covering leadership development, confidence, influence and integration, RISE will help promote gender inclusivity and support our member airlines to achieve their IATAs25by2025 goals.

Participants will also be tasked with promoting inclusion, enhancing female leadership skills among their colleagues and helping to set up female leadership networks among member airlines.

Kristin Colvile, SkyTeam CEO, said: “Aviation must make room for everyone at every level, and especially for more women at the top.

“From my own experience, the greatest contributors to female leadership success have been establishing a female network, having female senior leadership representation as role models in the C-suite, and having CEOs and executive teams who actively support and encourage female leadership development.

“Signing up for IATAs25by2025 is an important first step but it needs to be followed up with tangible action of which leaders in our industry are key.

“That’s why, thanks to the sponsorship of Anne Rigail of Air France and James Wang of China Eastern airlines, both early adopters of IATA25by2025, SkyTeam is launching the RISE leadership program.”

The program will launch next month with an online kick off session, where speakers will include Ms Rigail and Mr Wang.
