SkyTeam Operations: securing the SkyTeam foundation and delivering on our promises to customers and members

SkyTeam Operations, under the leadership of Mauro Oretti, is working hard to ensure SkyTeam continues to deliver a seamless and sustainable offering to customers and members.

Here are three transformation projects which will help the team deliver those objectives:

The world around us is changing at pace – and the Operations Team is shaping alliance governance and quality assurance to make sure SkyTeam reflects and can respond to these changes. This includes exploring a fresh approach to the Alliance Board set-up, new self-funding options and automating quality assurance processes for ongoing compliance tracking and correction as necessary.

There’s a world of potential partners who could help airlines make travel more sustainable, more customer-centric and more efficient. The Operations Team will explore the correct form of alliance governance for including the right ones (e.g. trains) as potential members of the alliance.

SkyTeam aims to be the trusted provider of quality and competitively-priced lounges. And in non-home markets with large volumes of high-value customers, there’s no better place to escape a busy airport terminal than a SkyTeam branded lounge. Opening more of these – in the right locations – will be a priority for the Operations team, backed by a solid long-term strategy supported by all members.
