New feature enables SkyTeam customers to upgrade their way around the world
A brand-new buy-up feature to our Go Round the World pass is giving globetrotting customers a new layer of flexibility when planning their trip of a lifetime.Until recently, all flights had to be taken in the same class, however SkyTeam is now giving passengers the opportunity to upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy or Business Class to First on any leg of their journey.
Whether they’re looking for more legroom on an overnight flight or are simply looking to treat themselves to fine dining and the chance to travel in style, the new feature means customers can tailor-make their flying experience by purchasing per-segment upgrades.
“SkyTeam’s new buy-up feature takes flexible travel to a new level, enabling customers not only to be selective about where they fly but how they fly, by choosing their preferred onboard experience around the world,” said Edward Hollo, SkyTeam’s Senior Manager Commercial Development. “It’s yet another example of how SkyTeam is delivering more customer-focused travel solutions online, in the air and on the ground.”
The new feature will be available on our Round the World booking portal from the end of this month. Buy-ups are offered during the booking process, and can also be made after the initial ticket has been bought via ‘Manage My Booking’ online.
