Following her appointment as SkyTeam CEO and Managing Director, Kristin Colvile, has spent time visiting all SkyTeam members to make sure the alliance is aligned with members’ needs and objectives.

Last month’s member visit saw Kristin head to Jeddah where she was welcomed by Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia).

Kristin toured the new King Abdulaziz International Airport and viewed Saudia’s current operations, as well as having a look around some of airport’s key features, including the operations control center, lounge and passenger terminal.

Saudia currently operates 11 domestic routes out of the airport, with international flights due to begin later this year.

Kristin also stopped by Berlin’s ExpoCenter for the ITB – an annual event considered to be one of the world’s leading travel shows.

There she officially opened the SkyTeam stand and welcomed guests from across the globe.

The German market is important to SkyTeam, with 14 member airlines flying into the country. This equates to 50,000 flights and over 7 million passengers every year.
