SkyTeam China Corporate Connection program wins the Dynamic Team Award

They helped to launch the first ever alliance joint contracting program in China, and in less than two years their efforts have seen SkyTeam’s China Corporate Connection (SCCC) become the number one revenue generator for SkyTeam in China.

SCCC has since been expanded to 16 Chinese cities, making it a huge success story for everyone involved.

The team of people behind SCCC has now been recognized for their efforts by being named the Dynamic Team of the Year in the inaugural MyTeam Awards.

The 16-person-strong group featured representatives from across the alliance including Delta, Saudia, China Airlines, Garuda, Aeroméxico, China Eastern, Vietnam Airlines, Aeroflot, Kenya Airways, Korean Air, SkyTeam, and Air France.

The SCCC program has enabled SkyTeam to fill a gap in the market by offering long-term, cost-effective travel solutions for China-based organizations.

Bespoke packages mean each company has the flexibility to select which SkyTeam members to include in their contract, unlocking an unrivaled network of more than 1,000 global destinations together with an enhanced passenger experience.

The MyTeam judging panel chose the SCCC working group as winners of the Dynamic Team Award in recognition of their commitment and close collaboration – all of which has helped to make the SCCC program a success.

Judges said they were particularly impressed by the team’s professionalism, sharing of knowledge and experience, and cross-airline cooperation that has made the program a resounding success.

Special mentions in the Dynamic Team category were also given to the Aeroméxico and Delta team that has worked tirelessly on Seamless Seat Maps & Ancillaries, and the KLM, Aeroméxico and Delta team involved with the SkyTeam Rebooking & SkyTeam station managers meeting at Mexico City International Airport.

The Seamless Seat Maps & Ancillaries program enables customers to see the seat map and real-time availability of interline flights, allowing passengers to select free or paid seats from flights operated by the lead carrier. Within the first three months of its launch, more than 150,000 Aeroméxico and Delta passengers were able to see the seat map of the codeshare/interline flights.

Thanks to the hard work and development by the Aeroméxico and Delta team other airlines will also be able to use the solution to create a more seamless experience for their customers.

Mexico City International Airport is a complex operational environment with limited infrastructure. However, the KLM, Aeroméxico and Delta team overcame this through regular SkyTeam station managers meetings, team briefings and daily communication. This enabled them to respond effectively to ad-hoc situations while delivering long-term improvements in connectivity and service recovery.

Judges also praised how the team worked together to share best practices in emergency response plans, ensuring they maximized resources and protocols with local authorities.
