The SkyTeam China Corporate Connection (SCCC) (天合致选) team is celebrating a year that saw revenues for the program grow to €27 million.
Six new SCCC accounts were signed in 2022, and are expected to add €10 million potential revenue to the portfolio. These include Envision Energy, a leading Chinese offshore wind turbine provider, and Pengxin International Mining, a company involved with mining, processing, smelting and sales of non-ferrous mineral resources.
Thanks to the team’s dedication, the average size of each account has now grown to €2.2 million.
To mark the end of a successful year, the team organized its first-ever virtual awareness event. The event was live streamed from the Netherlands to more than 130 Sales Managers from 14 Chinese cities and 12 airlines.
As well as showcasing key SkyTeam highlights, the event also familiarized guests with SCCA contracting procedures and recognized seven employees with Sales Championship awards.
“The goal of the SkyTeam China Corporate Connection is to provide commercially compelling travel solutions to key corporate accounts in the Greater China market,” said SkyTeam Vice President Marketing and Commercial Mauro Oretti. “2023 is expected to be a year of rebound for the Chinese travel market, so it’s great to have such strong foundations to help rebuild confidence while boosting our footprint in strategic cities, and exploring the possibility to enrich our added-value product offers.”
Launched in China at the end of 2016, all 12 SkyTeam online members joined the SCCC joint corporate contracting program. The aim is to work together in strategic markets such as Beijing and its surrounding catchment area to form relationships with Chinese companies, grow SkyTeam market share, and increase customer preference for flying with SkyTeam members.
