Getting to Know SkyTeam’s New CEO and Managing Director
We’re pleased to welcome our new CEO and Managing Director, Kristin Colvile, who joins us with more than 25 years of impressive industry experience. And according to Kristin, the feeling is mutual as she admits to being really “excited” about taking up her new role!Kristin has joined SkyTeam from Delta Airlines where she has held a variety of global operational, commercial and leadership roles since joining the airline in 1993. She officially joined the alliance just two weeks ago, but what an exciting two weeks. In that time SkyTeam has celebrated its 18th Anniversary and launched the SkyLink Digital Spine, both major milestones.
Already looking ahead to the future, Kristin believes SkyTeam’s greatest assets come from the diversity and energy of its members, and says she can’t wait to maximize the technology that SkyTeam has developed over the last year. Her immediate focus will be on developing further tech-driven solutions and maximizing the SkyLink Digital Spine to help members improve the customer experience.
But first, she’d like to get to know all 20 members better.
“I would like to try and visit all 20 members in their home markets, to learn more about them and the environment in which they operate. I also want to make sure that what we do here at SkyTeam aligns with our members’ priorities and objectives.’’
We also say goodbye to our former CEO, Perry Cantarutti, and thank him for his achievements over the past three years. Perry is now setting off on a new adventure, back to Delta as Senior Vice President of Alliances. A role in which he will still continue to work with SkyTeam.
Watch the video below to listen to Kristin and Perry chatting to each other about their future plans and the future of SkyTeam.
