Under the leadership of Matthew Weisenburg, the SkyTeam Transformation Team is steering our five-year BRIGHT program to prepare SkyTeam for the future.
Here is the approach designed to ensure a successful completion and rollout of our BRIGHT plan and transformation projects:
Cocreation with members is helping shape the essence of the SkyTeam transformation, power the BRIGHT program, modernize SkyTeam, and work more closely to build our future together. We’re delighted that our transformation approach was unanimously approved by the Alliance Board of member CEOs at the beginning of June – what a great way to mark the start of our anniversary month!
In our fast-paced world, decisions can’t be based on guesswork – our actions must be driven by real-time insight and concise, tangible and actionable data. The Transformation and Data & Insights Teams’ experts are working with members to ensure reliable, strategic data for decision-making is delivered where and when it’s needed.
The Transformation Team is looking at new forms of alliance funding to balance governance, autonomy and agility. More on this in the coming months.
Last, but not least, the SkyTeam Cargo alliance will leverage the power of the larger SkyTeam Alliance to accelerate its own strategic plans. SkyTeam Cargo is the only air cargo alliance and represents nearly 20% of the air cargo industry. In many ways, Cargo hasn’t received the support it deserves within SkyTeam, and we intend to bring more light to these opportunities in the future.
