SkyTeam Consulting begins adding value for airlines by bringing in member expertise from across the alliance

SkyTeam has a wealth of internal expertise and member know-how across the globe. The new consulting business unit is pulling that knowledge together and leveraging it to support member airlines and their customers.

SkyTeam Consulting, part of the SkyTeam Revenue Development organization headed by Dao Nguyen, is focused on providing business and technology services and advice to existing members, third parties and potential new members. The goal is to share and grow knowledge and expertise to support members and maximize revenue for them.

SkyTeam Consulting offers its service across these key terrains, among others:

The first SkyTeam Consulting agreement is with Kenya Airways (KQ) as it launches its new Asante Rewards Frequent Flyer Program (FFP). The team has been providing support in the following areas:

  • Bilateral connectivity between SkyTeam and Comarch, the platform chosen by KQ
  • Customer recognition: the ability to identify each member’s High Value Customers (HVCs) along the customer journey
  • Accrual/billing for accrual files implementation between KQ/Comarch and 18 SkyTeam members
  • Frequent Flyerrecognition and exchange in the SkyTeam community GDS/global distribution system
  • Transversal project/program management
  • Cutover post monitoring according to the KQ business implementation roadmap
