Aviation fans soar from Seattle to Barcelona in SkyTeam’s first ever MegaDo

A MegaDo gives frequent travellers and aviation buffs the chance to get an insider’s view on airport operations, while jetting off to a variety of exciting locations around the world on a private charter flight.

Last month, a group of flight fans set off on their own action-packed aviation adventure, beginning at Boeing’s headquarters in Seattle. After a tour of Boeing’s Customer Experience Center – hosted by Boeing and Delta Airlines – passengers then travelled across the Atlantic to Amsterdam. There they enjoyed a party at the W Hotel hosted by SkyTeam, before an early start the next day to visit the flower auction at FloraHolland, followed by a guided tour of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

To celebrate its 95-year anniversary, Czech Airlines hosted SkyTeam’s first MegaDo charter flight, taking the party from Amsterdam to Prague where they were treated to a behind the scenes experience, including a visit to the flight kitchens.

The final leg of the MegaDo saw passengers whisked from Prague to Palma and then on to Barcelona where Air Europa treated them to a year’s complimentary SUMA status, which is the equivalent of SkyTeam Elite Plus.
