The Sustainable Flight Challenge 2023 subcategory winners have been announced
Was your airline a subcategory winner in The Sustainable Flight Challenge 2023? The Expert Panel reached its conclusions and the winners were celebrated at the August awards ceremony.Congratulations to The Sustainable Flight Challenge 2023 subcategory nominees and winners!
This year’s Sustainable Flight Challenge saw 72 competition flights take to the skies.
The resulting data was crunched and submitted by the airlines into seven main awards – comprising four Flight Impact Awards and three Challenge Contribution Awards – and 24 subcategories.
Our Expert Panel debated, deliberated and reached their conclusions. And now the 24 TSFC 2023 subcategory nominees and winners have been revealed. Congratulations to everyone who took part in this important initiative!

So, what happens next?
Each of the Challenge Contribution subcategory winners will be pitching to our esteemed TSFC 2023 Jury on 12 September. The Jury will then review total 2023 TSFC efforts to establish the overall winners of each main award: Lowest CO2 Emissions, Greatest CO2 Reduction, Lowest CO2 Emissions Ground Ops, Best Inflight Waste Management, Best Innovation, Best Adoption and Best Collaboration.
The main award winners will be announced at an exciting showcase event hosted by Delta in Atlanta during the first week of October.
