Travelers step onboard their journey’s first segment, adhering to that operating carrier’s hand luggage policy, only to discover that operating carriers for onward segments may apply different policies. This can result in stress, friction and dissatisfaction at the transfer station.
In an industry first, SkyTeam has launched the Hand Luggage Calculator on skyteam.com.
Customers only need to enter the operating airlines and class of travel for their journey – up to six legs per search – and the calculator recommends the hand luggage for the entire journey, provides a breakdown of member policy and a link to each airline’s dedicated hand luggage web page.
The SkyTeam Hand Luggage Calculator is available in English, with results in metric or imperial systems.
The Calculator is subject to change and improvement in the coming weeks. It will ultimately be indexed and added to the skyteam.com menu structure.
