Sustainability and an exceptional customer experience are at the heart of SkyTeam’s reopened Sydney lounge

A noodle bar, live cooking area and locally-sourced wines are delivering a tasty new customer experience at SkyTeam’s Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport lounge.

This lounge incorporates many features which will set the standard for our lounges going forward.

We’re offering a completely updated food and beverage experience, transitioning from a self-service bar to a staffed bar offering a wide selection of complimentary beers on tap, wines and freshly made coffee drinks.

The lounge still has the same original footprint. However, inside we have created an entirely new customer experience with a completely new lounge within the existing walls.

With the space reconfigured to highlight the natural light available from the wall of windows, and freshly prepared food minimizing food waste, the lounge has been designed with sustainability and an enhanced customer experience at its heart.

The buffet area has also been moved to allow more seating and access to the windows – the first place most people go when looking for a seat – while free, high-speed, easy-connect Wi-Fi will further increase customer satisfaction and NPS.

The colors throughout have been chosen to reflect Sydney and Australia, moving away from the lounge’s past global color palate to one more suited to deliver a sense of place.

Incorporating many features designed to set the new standard in SkyTeam’s branded lounges, it opened with a soft launch on 25 August.
